Under this scheme, the Bihar government is providing 3 months of handicraft training to the youth absolutely free of cost. Along with this, all the materials used during the training will also be provided free of cost by the government.
Now the biggest question is how much money will be given? So let us tell you that during the training, a scholarship of ₹1000 will be given every month. On the other hand, if you come from outside the Patna Municipal Corporation area, then women will be given an additional ₹1500 for food and accommodation. That is, women will get a total benefit of ₹2500 per month.
There is also a provision for male candidates. Men coming from outside the Patna Municipal Corporation area will be given an additional ₹ 2000. That is, men will get a total benefit of up to ₹ 3000 per month.

18 types of different handcraft courses will be conducted here. For example:
Madhubani painting: 50 seats
Tiklu painting: 25 seats
Majusa painting: 25 seats
Apart from this, training will be given for other types of crafts. Overall, this time admission will be done on 400 seats and the training will run from July to September.

What is the eligibility? Who can apply
If you are wondering whether you can apply for this scheme or not, then it is important for you to know these things.
- Age limit: Your age should be between 22 to 45 years on 1 July 2025.
- Educational qualification: It is necessary to have passed at least seventh standard. Whether you are non-matric, matric pass, intermediate, graduate or post graduate – you can apply.
- Have you already taken training? If you have already taken training from Upendra Maharathi Institute, then you can be selected again but this time you will not get any financial benefit.
Another important thing – during training, it will be mandatory for you to give at least 75% attendance.

When will the document verification take place?
After filling the form, you will have to go to Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anushthan, Patna on 23 June 2025 at 11 am. There will be document verification, practical examination or interview. After this you will be selected and training will start from July.
